Combining found footage from “The Field” (Dir Jim Sheridan 1990) and older work such as “A walk to clear the head” and “Confused Bird”, this triptych circles around aspects of the struggle between capitalistic ideas of work and constructing creative work. The unnamed artist, struggling to produce work towards a looming deadline, somehow intertwines with the struggles of John B Keane’s character within the film; “The Bull McCabe”. The Bull, somehow recast as a conceptual artist, appears to be undergoing a some form of psychological breakdown as the narrative voices of an external panel ponder how best to deal with him.

This ongoing series are drawings depicting places both imagined, not remembered correctly – nor necessarily even real. These works, on a small A3 scale, referencing a Nomadic transitory nature of geopolitical post studio movement of an Artist. The pieces are claimed from time taken from “normal work”, deliberately slowing down time in the action and methodology in which the drawings are made.
